Season started today for me

Good luck! This evening would have been a nice one to sit out in I’d imagine.

I had a great sit last night. I have stand that is situated right next to a giant field that had rye and oats planted in it about a month ago. It's getting pretty tall and green and the deer are absolutely hammering it! The night before I went shining between 11:00-12:00 and had 27 deer (no bucks ) all feeding in this field. Last night I ended up having 13 deer, including 3 young bucks, sitting right in my lap for over an hour. I could've shot an old fat doe but the landowner had asked to no harvest any does again this year. After sitting last night, I visited with the owner and told him about the amount of does I've been seeing and gave him pictures to prove it. Well, at this point it sounds like he is going to allow us to harvest one doe per person starting tonight. So, I'm hoping to have pictures of downed deer tonight...Stay tuned!

Oh, I also had all three young bucks pushing the does all over so things are beginning to progress a little as far as the rut goes but it is still about 2 weeks away from really getting good.
