The bite has really slowed down out on the lakes so Dad has been fishing their dock on the river. Yesterday he caught and released this 2.2# slab.

Nice dock fish!!! We drove over the St. John River earlier this week and wondered how the fishing was going.

The fish still aren't biting but Dad is still getting one off the dock once in a while. I'm studying up on saltwater inshore fishing and plan on giving that a try next time down. The neighbor is wanting to take Dad shrimping over at Daytona but I think he's to cheap to buy a saltwater license with only a week left down there.

Redfish are quite delicious and they have a pretty good pull to them.

Well, another winter is in the books for Florida specks. The boat is on the trailer and the folks will be heading north soon. The fishing had really slowed down but Dad was able to get out and catch one last small mess this weekend.
