Mom got her a good one yesterday! 2# 10oz and she released her to spawn after the photos.

Are they mostly black crappie? They're all black crappie. I don't believe they have any white crappie that far south other than maybe the panhandle.

Dad got his limit yesterday morning in just a few hours. Today was Monty's first day to fish and they were doing good until the lightning chased them off.

So there's this seafood joint down there called Essex that has about the best friend clams you've ever ate. All of us that go there torture the ones back home with food photos. Got this from Monty this afternoon...

Dad got out this morning before the winds whipped up and got some good ones. This evening they went to the Crappie Masters weigh in, the leaders weight was 15.39# for 7 fish. That's over a 2# average!
