This guy has got it all figured out. I didn't even know about the looping setting on the new gopros. I'm going to have to get one.

I just got a notification that my gopro Hero 8 was delivered. Been wanting to upgrade from my Hero Session for a while now but the best deal I could find was $50 off at $349. Got an email from gopro on Monday that had them for a $100 off so I pulled the trigger. Looking forward to using the looping so I can capture those hook sets!

I'll give a review after using it a while. Not off to a good start; snapped the door to the battery and sd card slot off already. I was able to get it snapped back on. This camera seems flimsy compared to my gopro Session. I've dropped, kicked, and dunked that little Session camera and it keeps on ticking. I felt like I was gonna tear this new one up just getting it charged and the card in it!

I really like the battery pack idea. I see that being helpful while hunting and bank fishing, but I'm not sure the added weight would work well when I'm creek fishing...plus the cable getting in the way.
I'm also trying to think of a good alternative to the head mount for my JVC camera. I like the chest rig, but I don't think it would work with my chest pack I wear in the creek.

I'm finally gonna start using the looping feature on my gopro for fishing. Here's a video with an awesome kayak setup. I just ordered the 3BR Powersports housing that's talked about in the video.
