The Braggin' Board has been very quiet for quite some time. Is everyone doing ok? I'm sure most of you are in the same boat as me and you haven't been able to get outdoors much. Between coaching baseball, the June and July heat, and the August rains, it has been struggle for me to get any time in on the water. Looking forward to a much less busy fall so I can fish and also get some tree stand time in.

I'm doing fantastic! Well, other than the no fishing part. Just got back from my 3rd trip to Florida of the year. This was a business trip but we did spend a day at the beach and squeezed in some other fun things. Gail and I went down there and purchased a kettle corn stand. It was a really nice mother and son who owned the business and talked to us for 3 hours about how to operate it, load it in and out of the trailer, and shared lots of tips and tricks. Here's a link if it's still up of our new stand; osbornkettlecorn.com I'm gonna start popping this week for practice and then we're popping some next week for a baby shower.

If you need a taste tester, I'm about 25 minutes away.

Doing good here! I still visit the board almost daily, but the lack of fishing due to foul weather and projects has kept me from posting much. Spent a lot of the spring remodeling the bathroom and coordinating a roof/gutter replacement. This summer has been devoted to building a paver patio and sitting wall, which is now finished, and today I began digging post holes for the 16x16' deck that will go next to it. Still got the kayak sitting in the truck bed though, awaiting for some free time during the fall bite.

Made my first batch of kettle corn a couple nights ago. I had the burner a little too high and the oil burst into flames at one point, but other than that it went pretty good! It really was good though. I need to keep practicing because Gail already has us some gigs booked for this fall.

Nice. Maybe you guys could secure a spot at the covered bridge festival. I bet you'd make a little cash there. You're makin me hungry!

We made a batch of blue and white for Gail's son's baby shower last weekend that turned out pretty good. Gail and her mom.

This turned out to be my year of no fishing. I think I burned myself out over the last couple years and needed a break. I did the same thing a few years ago and playing golf. Decided to just skip a year and fished...a lot. I would like to say it was the opposite for this year but I didn't get to play much golf either. I didn't even buy a fishing license this year. Which I still might because I'll want to dove and coyote hunt (haven't made it out to dove hunt either) and I'll just buy the combo. I'll do my part and through some money towards the DNR. Still need to buy my bundle for deer season too. Vacation is 23 days away and with 26 days in a row off I'm ready for it. I've only used 3 days so far this year just to make this November vacation happen. The 3 days I took off in July was during the plant shut down. 2 of those days I didn't use vacation days for (we have what are called Salary Allowable days). I get 2 of those a year and we can use them on our shut down. So that helped move 16 vacation hours to November.

Yeah I've been there for 13 years. My next bump in vacation days will be the 15 year mark and I'll get 20. I just scheduled my days right in November to get 26 in a row. Thanksgiving helps.
