Ever since Gail and me went to visit her aunt and uncle up on Saginaw Bay during Labor Day weekend, they have been filling the freezer with perch! Can't wait to get up there on the hard water and help them. Aunt Linda with a couple jumbos, including her personal best 14.5" Gail's mom, Donna, with a couple dandies... Her stepdad Bill with a catch aboard Gail's old pontoon boat. Aunt Linda recently caught a nice bonus fish in a big fat 'eye! I just hope they saved a few for us!

Hey Greenie, do you have your trip to Saginaw Bay scheduled yet? Looks like it is about time! Well, doesn't look like it's gonna happen. They had a big fish kill on the river right behind Gail's aunt and uncle's house. Her Uncle Larry was actually interviewed on the local news about it. It's coming from Michigan Sugar, the sugar beet factory, but I don't know if they ever did figure out what it was. The river actually turned black and smelled like raw sewage, there was thousands of dead fish floating too. Her family has given up on the fall fishing and our concentrating on the duck hunting right now. Would love to give that a try! www.wnem.com/story/33357828/deq-investigates-spill-in-sebewaing-river
