My dad was telling me that the bluegill are nesting in our pond again, so I decided to check out one of the local pits and sure enough; they were nesting all around the edge. We kept a dozen or so but probably could have loaded the boat if we wanted to.

On a side note; I made a rule for myself for when I started dating again that she MUST fish. I'm so glad I stuck to it! My friend Gail loves to fish and we have an absolute blast out on the water. O_o

Life is just a series of obstacles preventing you from fishing.

Funny you say this. I noticed a BUNCH of gills and ears that appeared to be nesting in a private pit I sometimes fish the other day as well. Matter of fact, two gills I cleaned last weekend had eggs. Odd to see in the middle of July. Nice catch!

daybreak: Always loved Labor Day weekend. Time for those jet skis and speed boats to go back in storage and make room on the lakes for us fishermen again. (:))
