Went fishing the other day and broke my favorite ultra light while casting. Not sure if I cracked it at some point and didn't know it but it was upsetting. Couple of days later I stopped at Buck and Dumb Bass to grab another ultra light rod so I could catch some crappie after work. It was a nice rod but when I got home I didn't put it up. I'm always telling my daughters to put there belongings up so they don't get broke or ran over by the mower. Well my oldest daughter was riding her bike around my truck and the new ultra light rod was hanging out of the bed of my truck and she clipped it and it snapped in half . It was a day old. I decided to just use one of my old ultra light rods that seems to be invincible and take a couple of cat rods down to the Eel River and see what else I could break. Ended up with 2 moon eyes and a nice flathead.

Rough deal on the rods, but that's a nice flatty.
Where is Buck and Dumb Bass?

Just north of Cagles Mill/Cataract Lake on IN-243. Looks like a log cabin/business.

Nice flathead! Did you catch him on the mooneye?

No, I froze the mooneye for tomorrow. I caught the flatty on a live 7 inch creek chub in about 10ft of water on bottom.

Nice! Chase and me keep talking about going after flatheads but never get it done. Sorry about your rod problems.
