Made a couple more attempts to bag my first fowl this week. Tried jumping one out of a creek that usually holds mallards in the winter with no luck, then found some ducks on a local pit night before last and tried going after them in the kayak yesterday with no luck. Had 2 fly right over me in the yak, but I had the paddle in my hand at the time.

daybreak: Always loved Labor Day weekend. Time for those jet skis and speed boats to go back in storage and make room on the lakes for us fishermen again. (:))
