Shot a coyote this morning deer hunting. About 23 yard shot, when it runs off watch for second coyote running after him.

Nice shot! I know from experience how hard it is to shoot a coyote at that distance. I've tried three times and they've jumped my string every time. Quick little devils! Nice job and nice video! I told you things would start heating up in the woods

I actually hit too low, i think. Shot was exactly where i wanted, but I was not sure on the range before the shot, I thought it was 30, but then remembered ranging it and being more like 20 so i put the 20 on it and i think it was a touch farther and i hit lower than I should have. Didnt end up finding it. After following a zig zag bloodtrail I saw it get up from laying down and hopple off and lay down again. I had taken my turkey gun with me and went turkey hunting for an hour , then took back up the trail and thought I heard it run off again, but not sure. Blood got spotty and I just couldnt find it anymore. Oh well, haha I was really proud of myself because I thought I had made a great shot I saw the arrow tuck right in behind the front shoulder near the heart, but maybe just a touch low with the angle, plus the longer fur throws you off on where their body actually is.
