Chase and me were wanting to fish a spot we hadn't tried before this evening, so we ended up taking the Ranger down to the Linton Conservation Club(which is actually a city park called "Lee Sherrard Park" now.) I grew up going to horse shows there, but had never fished it; the horse arena is now a motocross track. It's kind of like a mini Greene-Sullivan, but the pits are already getting weed covered. I'm thinking it will be a good spot to try next time we get ice. The biggest gill of the evening...

I love trying new places, too! Glad to see you are breaking the "Forest Ranger" in

Looks like those pits would be good for a kayak.
Any idea if they allow hunting there?

I know this is an old thread , but the wife & I were goofing around in the crappy weather the other day & went to the park for a few cast . It’s been a few years since we’ve been there, but we were shocked to see this has been closed down to the public. The little dirt track out front is accessible but they have locked gates blocking the access road. This was a free & great place to spend an afternoon, does anyone know why it has been closed down ?

It closed 3 or 4 years ago due to liability/insurance issues. 🤬

This world is so screwed up ! We went here a lot over the last 20 years and it was a true hidden gem. Again something that was free taken away from everyone. Hell every park should be closed down then due to liability , this was a bad decision by the city of Linton
