Brian Schram just shared this video on facebook. Very cool! I've actually had that happen before, but not on a bass that big!
Here's a 2013 highlight video from the same guy. Makes me wanna head down to Alabama!

That was pretty intense.
That is a realistic looking frog. I just hate paying that much for a lure and then getting it stuck somewhere that you can't get it back.

I had that happen with a tiger musky once! He broke my line within 5 seconds

and that right there boys is why topwater fishing for bass is my favorite thing to do. I used to mostly use buzzbaits and poppers but got really into frogs last summer. They are a little pricey and you surprise yourself with the lengths you go to to get them back if you cast too far into some reeds, but the high-quality ones are hard to get stuck.

Sweet! How much? That's probably the color I would have picked anyhow....."sewer frog."

Picked up Chase and me a couple lunkerfrogs today at TH walsuck. They had the same color as the one spainy got plus the sewer frog looking one. I got one of each. There was an elderly lady waiting for new tires to be mounted there and as I walked by she was on the phone and I heard her say "I'm at walsuck."
