I think it's been 2 years since I've been camping. The last time we even made an attempt was 2 years ago when the RV broke down on the way to the Wiper Warriors event. I'm gonna change that this year. Ol' Bessie the RV is long gone, so I bought a Coleman tent that was marked down at wally world and got a Coleman lantern off ebay. I'll try to do a review video on those items coming up. Still need to pick up a few more items. I let some things go with the RV that would come in real handy right now, I was just too lazy to get them out when it sold and didn't really care to camp again at the time. Kipper Jim is planning on doing some camping/fishing with me when it finally warms up. He's been a tent camper in the past and is all setup to go. I'd really like to talk Monty, Sam, and Colton into an overnight catfishing trip to Wampler this summer. Some other places I'd like to fish and camp this year are Patoka, Paynetown, and Dogwood. Anyone else have camping plans for this year?

Can't speak for Colton, but Sam and I are definitely in. We picked up a nice tent and cots last year, so we'll be good to go. Come on spring!!!

Kipper Jim and me got thrown a curveball as far as camping goes this year. We work at the same place and have worked a 4 days on - 4 off schedule for over 20 years. Our camping plans were to hit places during the week and avoid the crowds. Recently we were told that we're going to a Mon-Fri shift as of April 14th. Guess we'll just have to learn to deal with the crowds. Sucks...cause I'm not a fan of people in general.

My oldest son just asked me the other day to go camping on the White River this summer like we used to when he was a kid.We used to put in at the Worthington launch ramp and float down above Newberry bridge and camp out then float on down near Lions where we used to have a cabin to pull out.In 2012 me, him and my then 10 year old grandson put in at the Eel river bridge on hwy 246 and floated down to the log jam and camped over night and fished then floated on to the hwy 59 bridge the next day and pulled out. That was my grandson's first major boat trip and he loved it.

Man, a lot has changed since I started this thread on March 1st! I've quit Sony and now have a job that works swing shifts again, so it will be back to more weekday camping. Just set up my tent for the first time and it is pretty darn easy to put up and take down. Hopefully I'll get to try it at Goose's Greene-Sullivan meet 'n greet.

I might have to help you break that tent in this summer. I've got quite a few days off I can burn

I might have to help you break that tent in this summer. Something about that just doesn't sound right.
