My buddy "Kipper Jim" met up with me this afternoon and we went down to the forest and fished Wampler again. We caught fish from the time we first dropped down, but we caught more dinks than keepers. For the second time in the last 2 trips to the forest I had something BIG on. This time it got off right before getting to the hole. I'm 90% sure this was a channel cat from the way it was fighting. We still managed a mess, although nothing to brag about size wise. We're planning on fishing Shakamak Lake tomorrow afternoon if anyone would like to join us. We're planing on getting there around 1:30 and fishing til dark or later if the crappie would like to cooperate.

I would love to join you at Shakamak! However, it ain't gonna happen this time . I wonder where the big redear are in Wampler? Or, are they just not biting? An underwater camera sure would be nice, wouldn't it?
