I've thought about getting one of these for fishing ever since Survivor came out years ago, but at $20+ I wasn't interested. We were discussing face masks the other day and with Chase working outside in these arctic temps...I got to thinking about them again. I looked them up and the original Buff brand is still too expensive for me, but I found an off brand on eBay from a Utah tackle dealer called " Tackle Steals" for less than 10 bucks shipped, so I decided to give them a try. So far I'm pretty happy with mine. They're comfortable and block the stinging wind chill. I'll let you know how they work for summer fishing when it warms up..they're suppose to be excellent for UV protection. I ordered one for me and one for Chase. On the left is how they come packaged. In the off brand there isn't a whole lot of patterns to chose from, but the original Buff comes in just about any pattern you can imagine. There's even some in fish scale patterns and I immediately thought of Brutom when I saw the carp scale pattern! How to wear them...

I think these will come in handy in the summer. And it will definitely beat the ear warmers I've been wearing as a face mask. lol

I bought one while I was in Florida. I wore it when I was mulching leaves in the fall and it was a lot more breathable/bearable than those white face masks you can buy.
I am also curious to see how it does this summer.
