Buffs

I've thought about getting one of these for fishing ever since Survivor came out years ago, but at $20+ I wasn't interested. We were discussing face masks the other day and with Chase working outside in these arctic temps...I got to thinking about them again. I looked them up and the original Buff brand is still too expensive for me, but I found an off brand on eBay from a Utah tackle dealer called "Tackle Steals" for less than 10 bucks shipped, so I decided to give them a try. So far I'm pretty happy with mine. They're comfortable and block the stinging wind chill. I'll let you know how they work for summer fishing when it warms up..they're suppose to be excellent for UV protection.


I ordered one for me and one for Chase. On the left is how they come packaged.


In the off brand there isn't a whole lot of patterns to chose from, but the original Buff comes in just about any pattern you can imagine. There's even some in fish scale patterns and I immediately thought of Brutom when I saw the carp scale pattern!
