On July 3rd I met up with Raisin' Striper for some Indiana true striped bass fishing. Needless to say we had a very good day at it. I boated the first fish and he tells me right off submit this fish for fish of the year. I said I would, and I did. I got good photo reproductions made and even sent a copy of the story, about how two anglers that never meet before decided to fish together because of a great website that they were both on. It was my first time catching a true striper, and that day because of Doug's hospitality I caught 2 at 34" each. Probably the best fishing experience I have ever had to date. So today I got my certificate and patch stating I won the 2013 fish of the year for striped bass from the DNR. I am speechless and honored! Thank you once again Doug, I owe this all to you! here are some pics of my fish and the certificate.
