Made a simple beef stew over the fire that turned out pretty good. 1.5 lbs stew meat 1 sweet onion 6 potatoes peeled and chopped 3 carrots peeled and chopped(I only had 1.) 1 packet of McCormick Beef Stew seasoning Salt & pepper to taste I also added a chopped bell & jalapeno pepper Small amount of flour and oil Cover the bottom of the dutch oven with oil(I used canola) and heat. Lightly dredge stew meat in flour, brown in oil with 1/2 the onion diced. Add carrots, seasoning packet, and the other 1/2 diced onion, cover with water and bring to boil for a few minutes, then simmer for 30 minutes. Add potatoes and peppers, bring to boil again then simmer for an hour or until taters are done. I added a can of mushroom soup as a thickener.

Looks awesome.
The method to raise and lower your dutch oven on the tripod is so simple, yet quite genius. I'd never really seen one of those in action before.
