Earlier this summer I started noticing a lot of does that didn't have any fawns with them. At the time I didn't think much about it. But now that season has begun and I've noticed very, very few mature doe having any fawns with them. I went for a drive the other evening and saw about 25 mature does and only 2 had fawns with them!! Has anyone else had the same problem in their area? After doing a little research I've learned that it is possible that last years severe drought may have impacted breeding success?? I'm curious to see if other people in other areas are noticing the same thing.

I've seen a few here and there, but nothing that would make me think there is an issue.

I've seen just as many here as normal, maybe more. No problem here.

Monday I went hunting and had 18 doe come out of the corn past my stand. Shot a bigger doe and realized she had two fawns with her. They wouldn't leave. There might have been a few fawns in the herd but they were all big for this years fawns. She was also full of milk.
