I can sit in the recliner at night and sharpen my broadheads, so I don't think I'm missing out on a whole lot there. I'd much rather spend the time getting to know my equipment and having it tuned properly as opposed to just being lazy and using a broadhead because it is "easier" to shoot.
It isn't the broadhead's fault, but people will still take a bad shot due to the idea that the mechanical broadhead will make up for a bad angle. It's all about how they market their product. Their gimmicks make people believe they can take a marginal shot, because the mechanical broadhead will make up for it.
You said you couldn't get arrows to fly straight with a Muzzy. Let's say that mechanical broadheads didn't exist, would you have just given up bowhunting?

At the time I shot muzzy's I had just gotten my bow and being I think 12 or 13 I had no clue how to tune a bow, especially with a fall away rest. And I'm the only member of my family that hunts. I've never once heard rage say you can take marginal shot and it will still kill the deer. It says "Expand you killzone" Which Is a true statement. Just because you don't have to tune your bow doesn't mean you won't know and learn about your equipment?

They don't come right out and say it, but that is something that is implied. I don't think that the mechanicals makes the target area any bigger on a deer.

I'm not sure how you can think that. Bigger cut=bigger target area. But everyone has there own opinion

I get the bigger cut thing, but I don't think the target area on the deer grows larger just because you are using a mechanical broadhead. I guess they really are that awesome. I'll run out and buy a pack today.

I'm not sating that they're a magical broadhead. I'm saying sometimes that extra inch could be all that you need to clip a lung. If a bad shot occurs, I'd want the bigger hole that will cause as much internal bleeding as possible.

You may not be saying that, but there sure are a lot of folks who seem to feel that way and Rage doesn't do anything to downplay that with their marketing gimmicks.

I don't see any gimmicks, but who's going to put down their own product?

It is the perception they create with their marketing.
