Anyone ever eat a softshell? Went fishing on the walnut, more like soft shelling, caught these guys all night.

I've never tried soft shell before, but wouldn't mind trying it sometime. I know them things can be a nuisance at times when you're catfishing!

Are they more active at night? Seems that is when I see them the most.

Ithought I hooked into a BIG cat on the river the other day. turned out to be a softshell with a tree limb...

That link said softshell is the best eating turtle... guess im gonna have to keep them next time
