I drove into town about an hour ago and on the way I noticed 2 standing in a field about a mile from the house. Kept driving and then spotted 10-15 in another field. On the way back home I was able to get a different view at another field and spotted at least 5+ in it. They are really moving this evening.

yeah me too i saw a "train" of deer in the woods on my grandmas property and i tried to count them but couldnt, Atleast 9-12 deer which makes me feel good since im trying to get more deer on the property. There have also been quite a few coyotes back there we had three of them howling and yipping in our backyard last night about 30 yards from the house. also the turkeys are starting to shift into their spring patterns there have been turkeys coming out of the woods across the road and crossing over to my grandmas.. saw 3 of them this evening below the house which means they are probly gonna start roosting in there or close by hopefully!

i also saw about 10 deer in a cornfield on the way home . i have seen night when it is a full moon with a snowstorm moving on where there will be 100+ in one cornfield ..how cool would it be to have 100 deer out in fornt of you while you are in your stand!

Seen several deer this evening in the fields and actually seen a 6 point buck. It still had both antlers. A guy at work was telling me he saw a big 8 by our house the week before last. Weird that some drop so early and others are still carrying. I've made a bunch of trips between here and Florida in my life and this latest trip was the most deer I had ever saw. Seen them in every state....including a bunch right along the road in Florida last week in the wee hours and then 1 in the road on the new stretch of I-69 in the wee hours yesterday morning when I had the cruise set at 70. We also saw probably 100+ turkeys in a field south of Henderson, KY.

they say deer will start growing their new antlers as soon as they drop..AND after they regain all the nutrients they need to be healthy from running around all november chasing the does..then they will start grwoing their antlers. So technically if you have enough food for them to be healthy thye will start grwoing their antlers almost immediately after they drop them. I have had pictures of nice bucks in velvet around this time of year before i think it was in april. But most of em dont grow them that early cuz they dont have enough food to get the nutrients fast enough until everthing starts o green up and there are more plants to browse
