Anybody found any more sheds lately? I think im gonna go in the morning.. My old shed spot is put on hold for another month to let the landowner look for them but he said i can come back in a month to look. So today i went down the road to one of my old friends grandparents house and talked to them and landed a new spot to look for sheds.. possibly even hunt in the future i hope.. Its 140 acres and he said that there have been some big bucks killed down there in the past so im anxious to get out there and just kind of look around and see what the property looks like Might have to find a new spot to hunt next year since the guy i hunt on is thinking about selling his farm.

I looked for a while this evening and didn't find anything. Still early yet. Good luck at your new spot!

They say the big ones are the first to drop which is probly why you found that big set although i would have thought that the bigger the bases on the deer the longer it would stay on . Anyways It should be a little easier this year after all the tall grass was matted down by the snow we got . I find nearly all of them in small fields that havent been mowed for several years ..or a field with short green grass where they will graze

I had a very large boddied buck in my back field yesterday that did not have anything on his head. If I get a chance this weekend maybe I will take a walk.

Max and me got out for a while today. I brought along the 10-22 in case a rabbit or squirrel wanted to hold still long enough for me to shoot it. Max ran a squirrel right to me out of a downed tree top, but it was so close I couldn't find it in the scope. It climbed the tree next to me and got in a nest. I followed what looked like a couple big buck tracks for a while, but no sheds. Kicked up a rabbit on the way home and missed it 4 times(3 while it was setting still. ) Went home and watched the first half of the Niners/Falcons then grabbed the .410 and tried another spot. Kicked up a rabbit but was too slow on the draw, then saw a small deer running away and heard something else in the woods, looked over and a decent 8 pointer was sneaking away. It still had both sides so just backed out of there. Went behind the house where I had found one of the sheds and kicked up another bunny; wasn't slow on the draw this time! I'm gonna make "Casper's Wabbit" tomorrow.... bellbucksnbeards.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=recipes&action=display&thread=3514

Just got this pic text to me from a buddy, said his neighbor found them at Hillenbrand FWA, which is only about a mile from us.

NICE! Looks like some fresh ones. And some big ones for public land if thats where they were found.. This "Arctic Blast" should loosen them antlers up and they will start droppin like flies.. Hopefullyall the little squirrels and mice will stay in their little holes long enough for me to sneak in there and grab them sheds! Tried goin fishin at paynetown with no luck and it was so cold the droplets of water on my line would instantly freeze and ice built up in my rod guides.. So i went back home lol
