Im always looking for ways to make a buck.. and i was thinking about picking up black walnuts this fall to make a little cash. IDK much about where to sell them etc. but i have seen people that pick them up and sell them. I think the price is around $12 or $13 per hundred pounds (with the husks off i think). It would be alot of work but it is just free money other than the work and time it takes to pick them up. To husk them all you gotta do is put them in the driveway and drive over them with your truck a bunch and then pull the husks off while wearing gloves..probly wont get rich from em tho
I was also thinkin about huntin some ginseng.. if its not all dried up. I have found it before but didnt dig up the roots from them. Ginseng is $500 /lb (not sure what it is this year) sometimes as high as $900/lb. If i can find a pound or two ill be rollin in dough!

The work and time is exactly what makes it not free money. lol. you'd have to pick up a heck of a lot of walnuts to make a 100 pounds with no husks.

I agree.. ginseng would be the way to go, you just have to find it. I usually make a few hundred bucks each fall from selling persimmons also.
