This past Saturday(10th) and Sunday(11th) were youth hunt in Maryland. With me still being 14 I have two more years to hunt youth weekend. The week leading up to this i was trying to figure out what weapon to use I decided no on muzzle loader (T/C Impact) and no on bow (Parker Hornet Extreme). I finally decided between my dad's Ithaca M37 Deer Slayer 12 gauge or my dad's Winchester M1200 16 gauge. I chose the 16 gauge on the first day I got a shot at a buck big buck "like 200lbs buck" bucket shot at 45 yds, sadly I missed (a clean miss). Frustration led to determination. I placed myself right back up in a tree stand on Sunday I saw a doe early on at 6:50 am I grunted and she could care less and went into the brush. About 30 minutes later she came back and in a hurry, it turns out the buck I missed the day before was chasing her. She stopped at 30 yards and i was able to drop her! Given I never saw the buck i learned this from a guy sitting in a stand 100 yards away from me. This is a picture of me and her Attachments:
