Anybody do any good on opening day? I saw 2 coyotes, 3 bucks, and 7 does.. and when i was walking back i saw 7 pairs of eyes ... I geuss deer really do move when it rains.. But i was freezing!! I saw a really nice buck 100 yards away form my stand. and a eight point basket rack at 15 yards when i was walking in.. Im uploading a vid to youtube right now.

I saw nothing. I'm hoping for a little better luck at a different spot this weekend.

One deer when I pulled down the lane and 23 turkeys came to my stand. Nothing else, but it was just opening day

I saw nothing. I'm hoping for a little better luck at a different spot this weekend. Try hunting near a cut cornfield.. Thats where ive been hunting, just a corner of a cut cornfield, there is a bedding area across the field and they walk out along the fence and feed for about 15 minutes in front of me and then go into the woods and walk through a patch of woods out to some other woods.. its kind of like a funnel. There were 49 pics from 8 pm-9pm on sunday night.. THere were lots of small forkhorn, spikes, and basket racks..one shooter. I think it is also a popular place for bucks too, becasue there were actually more bucks than does there. but idk Good luck! Im hoping to see a turkey or a coyote.. i dont really want to shoot a doe yet, its too warm. |
