Its almost that time guys! i cant wait.. im more excited about filming this year rather than shooting anything. But i will definitely put some deer on the ground this year if this year is as good as last! I just got back from a farmers house that i went to ask for permission to hunt. Didnt see him but talked to his son who was about my age and he gave me his dads phone number and he told me they own about 3,500 acres! I swear i would kill for that much land to hunt on! it would be like having your own national forest! LOL I dont know what he will say, but his son was nice and hopefully I will have me a sweet spot this fall!( im not asking to hunt the whole 3,500 acres btw) THe spot i was wantin to hunt was close to a river and about a 100 acre cornfield with about 60 acres of timber in the middle of it.. then there is about a 30 yard wide strip of timber connecting that to the bigger pieces of timber to the north and south. It is a perfect funnel. Ive been shootin everyday with my bow and i am very confident in my shooting.. its gotten alot better than it was a month ago, lol

Hope you get permission. Even if you have to trade work for it, that sounds like a good place to land a big boy

thanks man. And yeah i told his son to tell him i could help him if he needed help with anything.. and i told him i could give him all the deer meat he wanted. ANd he kind of jokingly said he would like to have some deer jerky, and i told him i could do that. I really wish i had some jerky strips in the freezer so i could show up with a big bag of deer jerky to give them! haha
Like i said i only got to talk to his son..of course the owner was out on the tractor somewhere on the 3,500 acres they have! I plan on going up there again thursday or friday and hangin some stands and setting a trail cam if i get permission. They have already harvested all their corn too so it might make it easier to kill a big buck with no standing corn.
