Colton and me decided to beat the heat by swimming in the pond yesterday. We brought the sanyo underwater camcorder along to try and get some footage. We couldn't really get close enough to the bigger fish, so Colton decided to try and bring one to us. Colt's catch - 25" 6# That's the biggest that's come out of our pond in a while. He taste pretty good too. I cut the filets into strips, scored them, soaked them in Franks Redhot, dipped them in Andy's Red, then fried 'em.

That's pretty cool. How deep is the pond? Probably only around 8' deep....maybe 10 when it's full. You guys keep alot of fish from that pond..we hardly ever keep any fish out of the pond. We took some big channelk cats out becasue they were eating all the bluegill, lol Do you guys just keep putting fish in it all the time? I don't think we keep a lot of fish out of there. We keep catfish once in a while and we'll sometimes catch a few gills or crappie to finish out a mess. It probably still has too many fish in it for it's size; especially if it stays this dry. We do put some fish in it once in a while. This year we've put in maybe 4 or 5 bluegill and redear...and that's only if they were BIG.
