I have never done that before, but I would like to give it a go. Any chance you guys have done a video on how to clean them Greenedog? Cause I aint real sure. Had frog legs many times but never local fresh frog just in resteraunts. The Ones I have had are Yummy. Also any tips, do you Gig for them or what. I have caught many before on a cane pole with a baited hook standing the length of the pole back and dangling a tube jig in front of them.

I'm not much into gigging frogs. I used to many years ago, but they taste so much like fried chicken to me that I gave up gigging. Frogs eat those nasty skeeters and benefit everyone so much that I decided just to let them be. Chicken is cheap to buy, and I'd rather see the frogs eating those skeeters, rather than the skeeters sucking out all my blood ! I'm not against frog gigging. I just don't do it anymore.

We've used gigs, BB guns, and just a fishing pole with a worm dangled in front of them before. This year I'm gonna try it from the water where you shine a light in there eyes and just pick them up by hand. We've only kept the legs before, but I keep seeing these Cajun shows where they clean the whole frog so I think I'll try that. sam - I agree that they're "somewhat" like chicken....but if cooked right they are way better!

I usually just gig them, All I do is cut the legs off seperate at teh joints, then cut the foot off. After that you peel the skin of the legs and you're done. I went yesterday for a bit and got a few but gave them away.
