Had a box trap ouyt and caught a nice snapper  If i can't give it away, I'm gonna try to take care of it myself. I'm cleaning it right now by letting it sit in clean water and changing the water   |

Nice catch! I've never thought of using a box trap to catch one. So did you keep it? I keep about 1 a year....I HATE cleaning them things!  (Oh, and I moved this thread to "Other Species" with the other turtle threads. ) |

(Oh, and I moved this thread to "Other Species" with the other turtle threads. ) I've never cleaned one or seen one cleaned. Is it the actual cleaning of the turtle or flushing it out that sucks? |

It's the cleaning....the flushing is nothing....just keep it in a tub for a week or so and change the water out every day or so. The cleaning on the other hand...  Just yesterday I had a buddy tell me that his uncle can clean one in "no time." It's funny...I've heard this lots of times....but have never seen any proof. |

I've heard they are pretty tasty and there are something like nine different cuts of meat on a turtle. |

Guess you can call me turtle man now sure how this one happened. Btw, I ended up giving the last one to a guy I know. He's supposed to teach me how to clean one sometime  |
