A few more crappie on May 11

I got out with a buddy to try the crappie bite again. He wanted enough for a fish fry for himself, which is about all we managed. We boated 13 fish with one of them being a throwback and one being a decent 12"er. The bite was fairly slow and the minnow bite was nearly dead. I did manage one crappie on a minnow. The rest came on curly tail grubs and crappie tubes. Crappie tubes caught the most. It looks like we are on the downside of the crappie spawn. A local told me he was killing them about 2 weeks ago and it has gotten progressively slower since then. Still a fun time on the water though!
