This season has been frustrating, exciting, fun, and FRUSTRATING! 
The Fun - I saw more turkeys than ever before. Many strutters, heard lots of gobbles, saw many deer and had a little buck walk right up to me while I was hunting.
Not So Fun - Ran into other hunters nearly half the times I went.
I had so many close encounters and couldn't get the job done. I had a tom strutting 5 yards in front of me and it saw me when I was trying to get the gun up. Yesterday I missed a jake... 3 times. 
I still don't know how I missed that thing with my Benelli.
After a Mother's day dinner and watching the first half of the Pacer's game today, I headed to the field for my last chance at a turkey. I put a hen decoy in front of me and sat and didn't call. It wasn't too long and I saw a red head poking out of the grass in the corner of the field. It seemed like it took that thing hours to get to me, but it finally made it's way in range. I was out of shells after yesterday's misses for the 12 Ga. Our old 20 Ga. did it's job again dropping the pretty bird at 25 yards. I can't remember the last time I had been that excited over a kill, I couldn't believe I pulled it off on the evening of the last day! The camera was running but you can only see it's head over the grass when I shot. I recorded a lot of good footage this year so we're going to put it all in one video.
