Decided to take my youngest out to my local fishing hole last night to see if we could bag a few. The bite wasn't hot but it wasn't bad either. Most of the crappie were caught on a green curly tailed grub. The bass and a few crappie were caught on minnows. I was getting tons of hits on the curly tail but not many hookups. My ratio was probably 20 to 25 thumps per every hookup. It would've been an unbelievable evening if i could've had a higher conversion rate! Luckily, the bass was right at 14" cuz there was no way my son was letting me throw that one back I would've liked to have seen the CO tell him otherwise All fish were caught in 4'-8' of water. Oh, and my last fish of the night was a short walleye. So it was a nice mix of fish Easton with his first ever crappie! He was slightly excited Easton with his first ever largemouth! He loved catching this! Our tasty mess The 2 biggest fish ready for the chopping block. The crappie was almost 12"

Nice work there dad. I have said it many times and will say it many more, nothing beats the smile on a young man's face while he is holding a fish.
