Actually got to get out this morning after work and do a little fishing. Caught quite a few, and NICE ones at that!. One decent bass, (bunch of dinks) and ALOT of good size gills. Theyre startin to get fat in there. I didnt catch ANY small gills. Using a small red/black/chrome rapalla lipless rat-l-trap, with blood red hooks.

Went out again after work today. Got out just as the rain thinned out, then it started pourin again. Ended up sayin Heck with it, kicked my boots and socks off,(STINKY ) rolled my pants up, and did some wadin. Caught a few, (not as many as I wanted, but I got to get out today, so I really cant complain) round a dozen. All good sized. Seen a BUNCH of kitty cats swimmin at the surface with just fins pokin out, but I didn't have any livers with me, so I didn't mess with them. Thinkin bout goin down and hittin the Eel wenesday night with a buddy from work. If anyones interested just give me a holler.

On a SIDE note, Thinkin bout DYE'N the pond next week to help with all the aquatic veg this summer. Not sure if I'll go with the BLUE or the BLACK, but Rural king carrys both. I like the blue, but I've never seen the black, and am curious as to how it would turn out. Thoughts anyone? Pros/Cons???

I will start by saying I do not own a pond. So these ideas may not be realistic but I have Two things on my mind about the Black dye. First is it possible that having the water be blackened and pair that with a hot hot summer would the water temps. be higher and cause stress to the fish. The second thought is would the black water change clarity enough in the water to toughen fishing conditions. Just shootin at the hip here typing what is going through my head, maybe not even legitamate concerns, not sure?
