The boys had too much homework to go fishing with me this evening so I ran down to the Greene-Sullivan State Forest Airline Pit by myself and fished for a couple hours. Was fishing from shore with 2 lines out with crawlers...1 deep, 1 below a float, and casting with spinners on an ultralight. I went 2 for 3 on the trout right before dark and caught a crappie just after dark. All on a crawler fished from 6-12 feet deep. There was a couple guys trolling in a little jon boat that said they had limited on trout in less than 2 hours and were just fishing for fun.
It was a VERY peaceful evening just sitting on the bank with a cold one listening to the turkeys gobbling and watching the geese, ducks, and blue heron flying over.

Just another night at work for me and Monty will be back here again bright and early.
