Caught about ten crappies, plus a bluegill, down at Franklin Park this afternoon. All were caught on a pink and white jig under a float. Thanks to the mild winter, I'm after the crappies a few weeks earlier than usual.

Way to go Bruce! I've tried our pond a few times already with a jig 'n float, but I've yet to catch my first crappie of the year.

Stupid question I'm sure, but when you say float is that the same as a bobber?

On the southside of Indianapolis, right next to Franklin Central High School.
