Back in June I did some striper fishing by the Newburgh Lock and Dam. If you've never done this you need to. This was my first time out to fish for stripers and to be on the Ohio. We didn't take a lot of pics though. This was the first one I caught out of three. The third one was the biggest I caught but not much bigger. This is my buddy and one of the stripers he caught. It was the biggest one caught of the day. This is another buddy sitting on a sand bar 100 feet of the bank. We seen this sand bar and decided to beach it and catfish here. While we did catch a few cats, nothing was condidered a monster. The sand bar was under water by the time we left it.

Nice pics! I would love to try that. I caught one at lake monroe once. It wasn't very big though.

Looks like fun! I've been wanting to get down there for years. I'd like to go after some of those big blue cats.

Looks like fun! I've been wanting to get down there for years. I'd like to go after some of those big blue cats. I think 2 or 3 of the cats caught were blue. Probably in the 5 to 10 pound range. I landed 2 channels myself. One was nice, the other was a bait thief.
