They are ice fishing in Northern Indiana. Several lakes in Steuben county are 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 inch thick. They are catching lots of bream. Still a little thin to be called safe, but they're out there anyway. I do suspect many other areas of Northern Indiana have opened up for ice fishing. I haven't had time to look at the reports yet, but they are out there catching them !

I dont think we'll get any in down here. What LITTLE ice there IS, is TOO thin, and most of what I have seen is trash ice anyways. Sux cause I was lookin forward to doin some SERIOUS Slabbin this winter...

The ice has been shaky up here to say the least.
