New to the site and to just starting musky fishing spring of 2011. Just wondering what is your personal best and what did you catch it on. I caught my pb on bass lake the first week of October this year. I was 48 inches long and 21 inches around and I caught it on a musky mayhem sili girl.

Welcome to the Braggin' Board!  Congrats on your pb musky! That was a monster! Did you get any pics of it?? The only place we've ever musky fished is Bass Lake and we usually don't measure them. I'm guessing my pb was 40-42? If you caught a 48 that means there's probably a 50 incher in there!  |

yes I got pics but they are on my cell phone and I have misplaced the adapter for my phone card that allows me to transfer them. If someone wants I can text them the pics and they can post them one here. About an hour before I caught my big one my dad had a follow from one that was at least as big as the one I caught a long ways from the one I caught. The good news she is still in there and maybe next year she will be 50".

I sent three pics to your sons phone greenedog. I will send some more pics to him later when I get off work of some of the other fish that we have caught this summer. I always liked to fished but have never been "hooked" until we went to Bass Lake in April and after only about 30 min of fishing I landed a fat 44 on bass equipment. Now I would be out there all the time if I did not have to drive an hour to get down there.

Just showed my dad the bigger pick on the computer and he laughed at me. Said I could make a marlin look small. I guess that I what happens when you have a wife that is a wonderful cook.LOL

Greendog,
Thanks for posting those pictures for me. Sorry the picture quality is not real good but every one of the pics was taken with a cell phone. I don't know if we have them figured our or not but we have gotten lucky several times this year. If anyone has some extra time on their hands the Chicago musky show is this weekend. We are heading out EARLY in the morning.
