Very cool! Thanks for sharing. That's right down the road and I didn't even know it was there. I've only tried elk once and loved it, I bet farm raised is even better.

Our families property is close to his farm. On a quiet day you can hear them bugle while sitting in a tree. It's pretty awesome.

I told him that I definitely wanted to stop by next fall during the rut so that I could hear them bugle. I wonder how the neighbors feel during the rut in the fall when all the bulls are bugling. I'd imagine some of them get a little tired of it. |

I was lucky enough to catch this bull bugling on the last day of September...
I stopped by a couple weeks ago to see if they were up by the road and had this encounter...

my dads boss is a bigg hunter and killed a hugggggge elk that he said was almost a world record with a bow.. i dont remember where he killed it but it looked alot bigger than those elk, they must be a different type of elk. He had the elk mounted right above his bed and i swear it was amazing how big it was..he also went to africa on a honeymoon with his wife and has an entire room with special lighting and full body mounts,zebra hides on the floor ,skull mounts from warthogs..its crazy, he must have quite a bit of moneyto do that lol He also said it took like 7 years to draw a archery tag for the big elk he killed, it was really cool to see

I believe the Roosevelt Elk is larger than the Rocky Mountain variety. I think these are the Rocky Mountain type.

He said that his wife video taped the whole thing and that when he shot it he was so close that it got blood on him ,,i think id have to see it to believe it but that is what he said,. he said he almost pooped his pants
