I dropped this one on 11/19/2011 in Sullivan County. I thought it was a doe, but turns out it was a button buck. I guess I'll always be able to say my first deer was a buck, just not one I was hoping it would be.

I had a little bit better luck on my first deer,but it took me probably 2-3 years to be able to tell the difference between a yearly and a more mature doe. And after 13 years of hunting I still some times shoot a yearly thinking it was bigger than what it was. Just tell everybody it must of been holding it's breath an it looked bigger. Nice job on your of many
