Well I went out to the exact same stand I fell out of and did a bit of rattling. At dark a nice 10 stepped into my shooting lane. I knew the spot where he was standing was 15 yards. Drew back and wham.... he doesn't move and the arrow didn't touch him. I knocked another arrow and he had move about a yard farther. Another swing and another huge strikeout. Still doesn't run off just trotted 10 or so yards. Still in range but no more arrows. Idk wtf happened but I was calm when I shot, know I didn't jerk, and didn't hit any limbs. Just some really bad luck from that stand... I think its cursed.

At dark you could have hit a twig you couldn't see. What broadhead do you shoot?

I'd say get out to the target, and MAKE SURE everything is on. you could have knocked your sight off when you fell, or even just bumped it against something.

I think I've figured out why I missed. The deer was a steep hill downhill from me when I shot so I think I shot right over his back because of the angle. From the height of my stand and and the hill I'd say I should've aimed like he was at about 10 yards and I aimed dead center, but the catch is my First pin is 25 yards. So I'm pretty convinced I shot right over the top
