Other than Chase and the drop tine 10 pt he passed on, just wondering if any of you who hunt in Greene County or nearby are seeing any buck activity yet? I went out Sunday all day. Only had a bunch of does and a button buck under my stand. Lots of big rubs but did not see any bucks.
Chase - was wondering if you had seen that buck on your cameras this year (if you have cams set up)? If not, might be a sign they are moving a lot more down there.
The two nice bucks I have several hundred pics consistently week after week (since early Summer) have not shown up on camera since middle part of October. I'm just hoping they (or another one) will come back and give me one crack at them!

I hunt with a buddy just north of Bloomfield and we saw a small fork buck Saturday morning. He has seen a few other buddies over the last month, but it seems like most of the activity is still at night.

Things are starting to get better, I hadn't seen a buck on stand all year until Tuesday when I saw a pretty good 8. Tonight I hunted a property that I hadn't been on yet this year, where I missed a good one last year, found his shed in the spring and saved this place until Nov. Well I saw 8 deer, 4 of them bucks. A spike, two young 8 pointers and a pretty decent 8. No big boy though.

IT"S COMIN, FAST.. the ruts realy startin to hit in my part of the woods. This morning saw what looked like a decent buck rubbin at 70 yards but too dark too tell alot. about an hour later i hear a snort and a bunch of deer running, i though they had somehow smelled me but turns out they hadn't. they ran by at 30 yards and i decided i owuld take a shot if one presented itself. stopped the littlest of the 3 at 28 yards but her shoulder was behind a tree and the other 2 were behind cover. they then trotted off again. I figured there was a buck chasing then, and soon heard grunts. my immediate reaction was that a hunter had trespassed and pushed them, but i soon saw 2 bucks movin through brush at 100yds. one circled around to the does, and the other headed my way on the trail of the does. i got set up for the shot and he stopped at 50+ yards, not liking something. the does then reappeared on the other side of him and he took off after them. He was a BIG bodied 10, with good width but not much mass. i aint thatgood at guessing scores but i woulda guessed pushin 130? goin back with a rattle and a grunt tomorow, o yeah and my buddy saw four 8's and a 10 this morning, and passed on them all

This morning me and a friend went hunting on his farm and did some rattling. About two minutes after rattling a small 8 came running out of the woods towards us like he was on a string

I went out to my buddy's north of Bloomfield Saturday evening and all we saw were squirrels. He went out Sunday morning and he said he saw a few does and a little six pointer. Seems like things haven't quite heated up on his property. I'm hoping to have some luck in Sullivan County this weekend.

I didn't see anything yesterday. I spooked one going in and one going out. Have no idea what they were.

Finally had a little action this morning. Around 9 I saw 3 does but they were about 80 yards off and moving the wrong direction. It looked like 1 of them was putting out some scent for the boys the way she was walking with her tail curled up. Around 10 a nice buck came crashing into the other side of the woods. It was one of those that you knew right off the bat was a shooter. Nice big & tall 8. He only got within about 80 yards and then walked right under our buddy stand and off into the stripper hills. I screwed up and didn't get any footage; I was using The 3rd Arm mini camera arm and there's a screw that goes into the tree that I forgot to tighten. When I grabbed the camera the whole arm tilted and the camera ended up in my lap. I ended up seeing him again about an hour later and got him to grunt back at me, but he was more interested in going to the bedding area than looking for a fight.

I've been out of town since wednesday, got home this evening to late to hunt but still light. Looked out my back window and saw three deer in our cornfield. Got the binocs and was watching a decent 2 1/2 year old 8 chasing a doe. Well he caught her and I watched my first X rated deer show in person. (sheepishly watched that is )
