Me and my friend ssat on the edge of a bean field on the ground this mornng, at first liht a fawn (90-100lbs) walked in front of him and stayed at about 10ft for 15 minutes or so, it had him pinned but he decided if he got a shot he would shoot it... there was a spike walkin my way across the field and he was gonna let me take it and pass on the small doe but a big doe came out of the woods beside us and htere wouldve been to many eyes to shoot anything if the spike and the big doe came to us, so he drew on the small doe when it slightly turned, it ran about ten yards and slowed to a trot....big mistake..., my friend put a G5 tekan through both shoulders, ive seen lots of vids of deer killed b4, but nothing like this, that thing didnt even kick!, the shot ended up being 19yards... the spike and doe ran off but across the field i saw another spike, put the stalk on him to about 50-60 yards but they walkd into the woods, i looked and saw a doe and a fawn and went back to crawlin, i looked up and htey had closed hte distance to about 40-45 yards! they had no clue of me, i snuck a little farther and didnt realize how close i was i guess cuz i popped up at 20, there heads were turned so i started my rise/draw, mid rise i hear a twig break and a bi old doe steps out of the woods 25 yards to the side, spots me immediately and blew, the other deer took of too...aggrevating but i got about 4 adrenaline rushes from the deal! GREAT HUNT!

Sounds like an exciting morning B-rad!  Congrats to your buddy. I saw Chase kill a doe that died instantly like that one time. It was his second deer ever and she just tipped over and slid down a tree without even a twitch.  |

Well i got back from taking my sat around 3 and decided at around 5 i would go and try to spot n stalk a deer. I got to the field and imediately saw 3 deer. I started glassing them and one was a pretty decent 10. The other two were both does. I snuck down the wood line and got to 25 yards from the buck(couldve shot him alot sooner but didnt want to take a long shot with the strong wind) and he didnt even notice me. I drew back and before i could shoot he wallked into the woods. I forgot about the other two deer in the field and stood up and they both took off from about 35 yards away. Not a bad day but if it wasnt for the wind it could have been better

Sat on the edge of the same field as yeserday, had a basket 6 come to 27yards but he was between me and my friend and then he spooked. Had a spike, a basket, and a doe work the edge of the field up to about 50 yards from me, then cut into the woods, i thougt they were gonna walk this ditch 20 yards behing me, but got 50 yards from mr and cut off into a different trail >:(this may be my last week to hunt that field like that cuz its got standing beans that should be cut soon.

Well my opening day I didn't see one. Just two yotes. Oh well, got the rest of the season

i shot a big doe sunday. i dropped it a 40 yds. ill try to post pics but my phine doesnt have flash and i didnt bring a camera so i couldnt get good pictures

didnt see any deer tonight but saw some turkey and saw them roost probly 75 yards from my stand so i may gonna bring a call in the morning, not sure if thats where ill hunt though

Congratulations to anyone who had a successful hunt opening day and also any of the days so far. I have been seeing a few deer at my place in Vevay, but nothing I want to take a shot at. Good luck and be safe.

hung a couple new stands and got some rub action at the first one, there of pretty good size and im hopin its this big8 with lots of mass we found sheds from bout 50 yards from there...lots of bucks on this place!
