Tell them that for every deer you get with a bow is one less car collision and helps keep auto insurance down....then finish with "a country boy can survive"

Man, i dunno..tell 'em this dad would KILL to have one of my kids interested in hunting!
What reason(s) do your 'rents give you for not letting you get one?
Archery is a great hobby, you can spend your time in the back yard practicing and is a LOT better than MANY things a person your age could be doing. The time spent practicing and hunting is time spent NOT getting into trouble AND it puts good quality food on the table.
I refuse to dog on any parent for the decisions THEY make concerning the raising of THEIR child...but IMHO it doesnt make a lot of sense. So long as you have a quality harness and you follow the basic rules of hunting safety, its safer then driving!
