Crappielady and Crappieman are gonna take a little break from crappie fishing next January to go sailfishing at Islamorada out of Bud n' Mary's Marina. Them and another couple have chartered a boat and will be staying in the "Penthouse Suite." Needless to say; I AM JEALOUS!!

Maybe I can talk Mom into buying a video camera before then.

Sounds like January is the month to fish as this is when the sailfish tournaments are held.

Sounds like an AMAZING trip planned. I can't exactly say I'm JEALOUS though. I would LOVE the fishing, but I aint exactly one of "THOSE GUYS" that like goin out where there's $h!t big enough to eat me. Your lucky enough to get me to go swimmin in my OWN pond, LET ALONE go out on a dingy in the frikkin OCEAN! GOOD LUCK though and HOPE THEY HAVE FUN! Maybe you can lend them YOUR camera Troy...Just food for thought.

Well............Today was the day, but we didn't catch a sailfish, after trying for hours. Our captain and mate really tried to put us on some. We did see 3 in the water, but they just
wouldn't bite. We caught 7 mackerel big enough to keep, but that was it.

I was sure we were gonna have a sailfish as "Fish of the Year." Guess we'll have to settle for a 3 pound crappie!

The folks fished with the young guy Nick on the "B-n-M."

daybreak: Always loved Labor Day weekend. Time for those jet skis and speed boats to go back in storage and make room on the lakes for us fishermen again. (:))
