Big bluegill are spawning on Lake Kickapoo at Shakamak just like it's spring. I caught a nice mess this evening from the bank and could've caught more but I ran out of bait. I was using a hook and nightcrawlers/worms. It just doesn't make sense to me why these fish are on nests in shallow water when the water temp. is nearly 90 degrees.

I went fishing last night and there were a few bluegills on beds, I have no idea what is making them think its time to spawn again. weird.
