i actually liked the hot early deer season last year, i just sat up on the trails near the only pond around and waited for the deer to pile in which usually happened.

The thing I hate the most about a well above average temperature during early archery is risk of spoilage. We like to process our own deer but without a freezer it makes it nearly impossible when it's overly hot.

It made me pass many does that would've been dead if it was cooler out.

Just last season I could've killed several does in the first couple of weeks but the heat prevented me from wanting to try it
