Been hearing rumors of a possible new world record blue cat caught last night at Buggs Island Lake (Kerr Reservoir) down on the Virginia/North Carolina line. Details are still sketchy. Supposedly it was caught during a Catfish Showdown tournament, but their scales only went to a 100 pounds, so they took it to a feedstore and it tipped the scales at 143. Haven't seen any goods pics yet, but I did find this one.... I'm sure we'll be hearing much more if it's true!

I'm interested to see if it proves to be true. That fish is definitely a monster. It seems almost impossibly big. what is the previous world record blue?

Thats ridiculous if it turns out to be true. I wonder how old that fish is to get to that size.
