Last night one of my step dads friends was at the k of c with us talking and he mentioned he still had some caribou from his fall caribou hunt on abak island. Well needless to say i jumped on the chance to try caribou for the first time so he gave me a package of brats for me to try theyre soaking in beer at the moment. Once i cook them ill upload some more pictures and tell you what i think of caribou.

Well i forgot to take pics of the finished product but man caribou meat is awsome. It was extremely lean meat. The guy that gave it to me is going back again this fall and he said if he gets one hell be sure to throw some more my way. Cant wait to try a caribou steak.

daybreak: Always loved Labor Day weekend. Time for those jet skis and speed boats to go back in storage and make room on the lakes for us fishermen again. (:))
