depends on when the water warms up enough...when its cold they just lay on the bottom and barley move

you can probably catch some cats at night during anytime of the year, but the action is gonna be a lot faster in the summer months.

i will tell you when my grandpa sees his he just built a pond and feeds them they are startin to get 3-4 punds now or should be any way but i will tell you when i c them cmoe to the top to feed

Id say they biteing now off skip-jack or dead winter killed shad,well that is the blues are. Thing is right now its all bout location as they are moving ,as winter is over,spring rains are here & water is warming up,Most are no longerin in deep holes ,but few still are,Id try a shallow sandy or mud flats or rocky cover as them parts like to warm up faster & be it spwaning season just around the corner for channles, so id stay out the deep parts inless its a over cast day then go a little deeper & try shallows first even @ night as bait fish are on a move & geting ran/busted up on bank. Saw that the other day on the riverwhen was out for a Country ATV 4X4/4-WHEELER RIDE,YA HAD FUN,BUT THATS A HOLE NOTHER STORY
